Holy Sleep
The photos Sleeping Monk in Chedi Luang were taken at the Chedi Luang Temple Complex in Chiang Mai, Thailand. According to official information, behind the glass is the body of the monk Acharn Mun Bhuridarto, who is in a state of deep meditation – samadhi. However, let me doubt this – in my opinion, this is not his body – this is a wax sculpture that Thai masters so skillfully make.
It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.
When I was photographing the monk Acharn Mun Bhuridarto, I saw another one, younger and also meditating, but clearly on something else – he on the right “lies on the Internet”. I tried not to disturb both of them and walked out of this small temple to take a photo of the young monk through the window. It took about a minute, but when I went to the window to take a photo, he was already asleep.
