Where?
Thang Sai Temple complex is located on a hill next to the small resort village Ban Krut (Tambon Thong Chai) in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Thailand. It includes the Buddha Deity in meditation and the Temple to which you need to climb the steps.
What exactly?
Buddha in Meditation – 13.82 meter tall Lord Buddha Deity seated on a hill overlooking the sea installed in honor of Queen Sirikit on Her 60th birthday.
No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.
If you go through the gate guarded by two formidable guards and climb the steps, you will see a beautiful pagoda (temple) in which the Deities of Lord Buddha are installed. This Thang Sai Pagoda was built in 1996 to commemorate the 50th birthday of His Majesty King Rama IX.
